Week 9
A few days of rain failed to stop me for this second 200-mile week of the year. The winds also slowed me down substantially. Despite getting rained on for twenty-file miles on Thursday and Friday, I managed to get a complete set of miles this week for the first time in three weeks. What a great feeling.
Now that my new rain gear has arrived, I should be able to ride in more inclement weather than I felt like riding in before. I guess I always could, but I’m wimpy sometimes. Let’s hope this sunny warm weather holds up through the week.
By the way, kids, if you can grab your chain and it doesn’t leave any oil or grease on your hand and you didn’t just now degrease it or buy a new one, you need to lube it. That mostly accounts for my low average speeds this week.
